All our Reclaimed Wood barn beam mantels are rescued from barns all around Connecticut, dating back all the way from the 1600s, up to the Tobacco barn rebuilding process in Connecticut in the 1940s. 
There are varying species of wood, such as American Chestnut, Chess-Oak, White and Red Oak Hemlock, Douglas Fir and White Pine. Some beams are rough sawn, and some are hand hewn. Each piece preserves the history of the barns and sturctures built all throughout our rich history!
